How To Perform Seated Barbell Shoulder Press

  1. While seated on a bench, hold a barbell shoulder-width apart and rest it over your collarbones.
  2. Contact your chest and squeeze your back to lift the barbell over your head.
  3. Slowly lower the barbell along the way it went up and return to the starting position.
